Radiation Windows

Optical Windows for high-power CO2 lasers

The broad-band optical transparency, high thermal conductivity and hardness make diamond an ideal choice for highly demanding window applications such as high-power IR laser windows, high-power microwave windows and durable windows for aggressive environments

Thermal Applications

CVD diamond heat-spreaders

Due to the combination of excellent thermal conductivity and high electrical resistivity CVD diamond is getting more and more attractive for various thermal management applications, including
i. diamond heat-spreaders for the cooling of high-power electronic devices (laser diodes),
ii. diamond submounts for flip-chip bonding of semiconductor circuits, and
iii. direct deposition of thin diamond films on integrated circuits.
